Tom George is a highly respected fundraising and finance expert with extensive experience structuring complex, multi-stakeholder development and investment projects across Africa. As Managing Director of Africa Grant Advisors (AGA), Tom oversees Africa’s premier consulting firm in donor fundraising, blended finance structuring, and investment advisory.
He has supported clients in securing funding from— major global bilaterals, multilateral institutions, development banks, private equity/impact investors, philanthropic foundations, multinational corporations
His expertise includes: blended finance structuring (grants + concessional loans + private capital), bankability assessments & investment pitching, financial modeling & project design, grant writing & proposal development, donor alignment & impact strategy, due diligence advisory, capital mobilization strategies, renewable energy & infrastructure financing.
Tom previously worked as an Investment Officer at an African renewable energy venture capital firm, giving him strong exposure to deal structuring, pipeline assessment, portfolio monitoring, and investment analysis.
He holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago, equipping him with strong analytical, financial, and quantitative modeling skills.
